We realized something on the trail that completely changed the way we think about carrying injured or exhausted dogs.
The same compact kid carrier that helps parents get their children up mountains can also be the perfect tool for dogs. It supports their weight, distributes the load comfortably, and lets you keep moving safely when your dog suddenly can’t.

A simple idea.
A huge difference on the trail.
Clip the two bottom carabiners of the Trail Magik to the lower webbing on your backpack straps, then guide your dog into the carrier so they’re secure and comfortably positioned.
Thread and buckle the top strap through your backpack’s load-lifter webbing. Have it loose to start and fit the carrier with the webbing after the dog is in.
Make sure your dog’s airway is clear and limbs aren’t pinched. The adult’s arms should still support the dog’s upper body to ensure comfort and to avoid putting too much pressure on the stomach or chest area.
