Love the trail magik

Love the trail magik. However the as shows it with the kids who explore patch on it and mine did not come with that! I would have bought a different color had I known. But that’s alright, it’s only a cosmetic issue. Overall this has been very helpful on our hikes

several possible uses!

Actually, i saw a fb post from a hiker saying she could use her Trail Magik to transport her injured dog out of the woods, if need be. That's honestly why I purchased it! One of the purchases i really hope I never 'need' to use! But it seems to be quite handy, sturdy, and very cute.

I havent used yet, but looks incredibly sturdy!

Easy to use, lightweight, well made!

The Trail Magik is great! It's super easy to attach, incredibly lightweight, and very well made. We have only taken it on one trip so far, so I think we will need to watch a few videos to learn how to make sure it fits as comfortably as possible. But it was such a great option to be able to pack a full backpack for our trip and still carry a little one. I don't know how we could have gone without it. As a P.S., Katie was amazing, getting the carrier to us speedy fast so we could have it in time for our trip.

We love this carrier

We love this carrier. It’s such a nice option to have when our four year-old is tired and needing rest when we are hiking on the trail.

Multiuse awesomeness

This is an awesome carrier! Well balanced and works for dogs too!

This gives me a new lease on life

This gives me a new lease on life. I’m able to leave the house for hikes even with two kids. I’m happier and my kids are loving the great outdoors. So happy with this product!

I was not impressed with how "over built" this product is considering it's weight limit

I was not impressed with how "over built" this product is considering it's weight limit. The buckels are too large. The webbing is too thick, and the actual pouch material is too thick and rough. I get that you want your product to look bulky and tough, it to me it just looks silly. Especially considering your attachment point which is the freaking load lifer on your pack. It's ssssooo dumb. I mean just spend a week rock climbing and you can see all of the lite weight fabrics and webbing that exist, and truth be told I would pay double even triple for a pouch that is made from thinner, lighter materials that are also softer. At the end of the day. The product is just sad and over built and looks dumb. Especially when your attachment point is a thin webbing load lifter.

Got another in Pink!

I love the trail magik. I've taken my son in his on over a dozen backpacking trips. We took our daughter on her first backpacking trip. I decided to purchase an additional carrier in pink cuz I love the new color option and much more girly than the navy and red carrier I had.

Perfect for tired toddler legs!

Perfect for tired toddler legs! I am very happy to finally have a trail magik so my toddler can hitch a ride during longer walks. I do have to warn fellow EU orderers that the import costs are ~30 euro to the Netherlands, so add that mentally when ordering! I hope you find a EU distributor in the near future, then I would recommend it to all my friends!

I love the product

I love the product, the only reason it gets 4 is I'm plus size and I wish straps were longer.

It doesn't feel valuable enough to justify the cost

Carried my 30 lb 3 year old for 3 miles

Carried my 30 lb 3 year old for 3 miles no problem. Definitely would not have been possible without the Trail Magik Kid Carrier!

A+

Thanks for a great product that arrived super fast.

TheTrail Magik really saved me 4th of July Weekend!

TheTrail Magik really saved me 4th of July weekend as we foundourselves descending into a canyon to spend the day canoeing! We weren’t planning on much hiking but I decided to throw it in the camping pile last minute and I’m so glad that I did. Our short hike would have been way too steep for our 2.5 year old to hike, and I felt so much more safe being able to use my hands to safely move into the canyon. I can’t wait to try it out so we can finally gobackpacking with our toddler!

Its creative but not fully functional

I bought for my 3year old girl, she is the right weight for it.
The back of her legs where her weight rests got really red, I realized when she eventually complained about pain.
It was also really hard for me to see the trail while wearing it with her.

Fantastic design!

I love how it attached to our packs and my child sat well in it with a hip healthy position. My only gripe is that it didn’t breathe well so my kid got really sweaty each time she was carried in it which isn’t the best when you’re out in the backcountry. Otherwise, we love it!

Easy in, easy out for hiking kids

Overall: This carrier is as advertised: good for a kid who wants to walk a little and ride a little. So far I've tried it out with my 1.5-year-old, 28-lb friend on a 1.2-mile hike. It was easy to lift them in and out for snack breaks, toddling practice, playing in a stream, etc. I felt well balanced with toddler on the front and gear on my back (plus it's way easier to hand the kid crackers when they're on your front, as someone used to back carrying!).
Materials: Very sturdy. The buckles, webbing, and carabiners feel heavy duty to the point of overkill, but maybe I'm just used to lightweight gear.
Fit: I used the carrier with my Osprey Sportlite 30 daypack, and I haven't gotten the fit totally dialed in yet. If I have the kid high up on my body enough to feel comfortable for me, their legs are partially resting on the carrier and partially on the carabiners, which seems less than comfy for them on a longer hike. I am going to try attaching the carabiners to the sewn-in loops that hold the webbing of my pack's side compression straps next time, both to see if I can get the carrier up higher on my body and also to see if I can get more weight onto the hipbelt and off the shoulder straps.

I really wanted to love this carrier, but it is not good for much more than 10 minutes at a time. All the weight is on your shoulders, and I have chunky toddlers! Again, I really love the idea and I really wanted to like it, but it was a major back/shoulder pain after a short 20 minute hike.

AMAZING

WORTH IT. I have been eying the trail magik for months. Now that I have a second it was a need. My toddler loves riding in the trail magik on hikes. IT gets all of us outside and I feel strong carrying both kids. Amazing invention and needed on the market! Love how easy I can clip it on and carry on.

Love it!

The Trail Magik is even easier to use than I anticipated, especially after using it a couple of times to get the right fit. It allowed me to go overnight backpacking with my toddler and easily pick him up to rest when he needed a break. This is definitely our new go-to as our little dude starts being more independent! Also the quality is great, you can tell this will last a long time.

For the right purpose it would be great

I’m thinking this is probably best for a definite hiker family with
A big hiking backpack . I connected it to my army camelback backpack that has the zipper straps and a waist strap. The top of my bag was digging so hard into my neck. I last a few mins. My 2.5 year old is 30 pounds . It would be great for my husband no problem , but I needed something for us 2. Tried the back of him on my back to connect it to itself like others moms . I have too my muscle it was very tight and uncomfortable for us Both . So used properly on the right backpacks it would be amazing . Just didn’t work for us. Really sturdy and well made. Returned mine and waiting for refund still.

Best way to keep up the good vibes when hiking!

We have an older kid (close to four), and loves the easy and lightweight functionality of the trail magik. However, he complains that the lower buckles annoys his legs when he sits. I have tried to adjust both upper and lower straps and the way I turn the lower buckles, but he keeps mentioning it. Is there a way to avoid this?
