Tje trail magic is the best combination to carrier a kid! Trail magic is light and take a little space ! Than u still have your back pack with full equipment with you and same time you can carry your baby! So best combination 🤠
Today’s the first day we’ve use it out on a hike and we loved it!! It’s so perfect for Heidi’s size and nice to get her in and out of when she needed a break real quick or if I wanted to pick her up for a harder section and I got to be hands free! Great product.
Great lightweight carrier that added versatility to our trip. We’ve been reluctant to invest in an huge extra pack that we’d need to find space to store, figure out how to fly with, limit our carrying capacity so we were hopeful this would do the trick and it did! Our toddler is just over 30 lbs, loves to be independent but can’t make it more than a mile. You feel the extra weight on your shoulders and the cardiovascular system but with a pack it really is incredibly balanced and shockingly comfortable for everyone. The straps are tricky to adjust solo because of the buckle design (in some ways reassuring because you know it’s not slipping) so definitely agree with the company’s recommendation to practice at home before taking it out on the trail. Excited to have this option to help us get outdoors as a family more!
Absolutely love it! My 4 year old slips into it perfectly when his legs just absolutely can not go any further haha
So easy. Baby didn’t like it at first, but she eventually calmed and even fell asleep.
Amazing product and is such a life saver with 3 under 3 having this is a must have
For a family who love outdoor activities and hiking and a 3 years old the Trail magic is a good addition to our other carrier until our daughter will be capable of hiking everything. It is so light, comfortable and little to pack, easy to use
This was great for a hike with a 5 year old in a backpack carrier and a 1 year old in the front pouch. I had previously tried layering a separate front carrier underneath the backpack carrier, but the two strap systems got in each other's way. The Trail Magik solution felt much less kludgey, and if anything, carrying 2 kids might be easier than just one, because they counterbalance each other!
I found mounting the top strap of the Trail Magik a bit lower on the backpack straps than suggested helped keep the load off my shoulders (availability of mounting points will vary by the design of your backpack).
My main complaint is that while well-constructed, the cost felt rather price-gougey for a padded strip of nylon fabric with 4 straps and 2 carabiners. This is closer to the price I'd expect for a full backpack.
Love the concept. Have not tried it on the trail yet, in part, because the webbing is so stiff it is very difficult to tighten in order to get it adjusted appropriately. I am trying to work on the webbing little by little to loosen it up. Hoping it gets easier to adjust.
Almost everything about this is great. I just wish the top straps were easier to put on. Maybe carabiners instead of clips? Trying to clip and unclip with a child in the carrier is pretty difficult. I would just loosen the straps and take my son in and out but the straps are VERY difficult to tighten and loosen.
Fantastic product, used it on the (short) Inca Trail with our ~40lb 4yo and it absolutely saved the day. She complained of her feet going to sleep after 30 mins or so - I ran a loop of cord through the lower straps to create “stirrups” for her feet which solved the problem and allowed her to use it for hour+ stints, even falling asleep in it.
We started with a structured backpack carrier, but our little girl is over 99th percentile for height so she already outgrew that even though she just turned 3. We didn’t know where to turn. Structured carriers for larger kids had zero storage. Trail Magik stepped in with the ability to carry bigger kids and preserve all your regular backpack storage! We just took it on its first adventure and hiked miles on end with a nearly 40 lb kid who is long as can be. She feel asleep on my shoulder for the best hike nap and I was still able to carry all of the water and snacks we could need. Thanks for a great product!
The best kid carrier we've ever had! With 3 kids under 6, this is so much better than any other carrier. We are lucky to have two carriers so that we can bring the whole family along without the huge and heavy carriers we had previously. It's also surprisingly very comfortable.
An extra star for customer service which was really helpful with resolving our issue ! Thank you
I really wanted to love this. I've been hiking with my son his whole life and now that I have a second kid, my first has been booted from the carrying pack so little brother can ride in it. I've seen the trail magik highly regarded by an influencer on social media so I thought it was a no brainer upgrade. The quality itself is really good and I have no doubt about the safety of it being able to hold my 30lb 2.5 y/o. There isn't much else going for it though. I find it pretty uncomfortable, as does my kid. It's also a bit of a hassle to get it all hooked up, which is annoying because it's meant to be an in-and-out thing, just for breaks and not to carry the kid for the whole hike (not that you'd want to do that anyway since it's so uncomfortable for both adult and child). If it were maybe $30, I'd be satisfied with it because it is marginally better than just carrying my older kid in my arms, but for $100 full price I feel I got supremely ripped off.
What a great concept. Perfect for hiking with a bossy three year old.
LOVE IT! Easy to put together and fits both my packs.
I bought as a gift for my son and wife! They love to hike with their toddler who gets tired so hers the easy answer!
I’m obsessed and so happy I found the TrailMagic carrier. I have a 6month old and a 2.5 year old and this is the only solution I’ve found that works for us.
Thank you so much for helping us introduce local families to the Trail Magik Kid Carrier. It is being well received as a useful addition tohiking trips :)
I received my Trail Magik carrier as a gift, and unfortunately one of the upper straps broke during our first hike using it. Customer support was helpful in getting me a replacement, but the replacement was apparently from a new manufacturer and did not have a liner sewn in like the original. This carrier was very rough against exposed skin, so I requested a replacement that matched the first carrier I received (with the liner). I am hoping that the third carrier holds up because I did enjoy using the Trail Magik for the short distance that it worked.
Perfect for my 3 year old. Great material, sturdy and safe. Easy to set up.
